Savannah High School Class of 1963 - Latest News

Hi Everyone,
Don't forget to attend the dedication of the American Flag that flew over the Capital State Building in Washington DC, on the date of our 50th 1963 Class reunion.

The dedication will take place on March 10th at Savannah Arts Academy, aka, Savannah
High. We will all meet in front of the school at 1:00 pm. The ceremony will take place in the auditorium.

Please email me if you have any questions. We are trying to get as many classmates to attend as possible for this very special occasion.

Our big 50th SHS Class Reunion is upon us. Oct 11 and 12, 2013 is the big weekend.

Friday night is casual dress at the American Legion Post 184 located at 3003 Rowland Avenue, Thunderbolt, GA 31404. It starts at 6 and we party until 10pm. The buffet is catered by "Sticky Fingers" and we'll have a mixed drinks cash bar. Entertainment will be provided by "The Girlfriends" and there will be a DJ. We'll have door prizes and 50th reunion T-shirts and more.

Saturday at 11am we visit our "Dear old SHS". We'll meet in the cafeteria on 49th street. Be prompt or you will miss the tour of the gymnasium which looks exactly like it did in 1963. We'll also visit classrooms and the auditorium where we performed the "Womanless Wedding". At 12:30 is a group picture on the front steps which we'll email to everyone.

Saturday night is dressy casual and from 7 to 11 is the big event at the WICC (Willmington Island Country Club) with some delicious food (mixed drinks cash bar). "The Rogues Band" will play nostalgic oldies and we'll have a photo booth, silent auction, door prizes, 50th reunion commemorative booklet and much more.
